This blog is intended to enhance the Ware Street football Sunday by promoting discussion, assigning tasks (e.g., the bringing of food and libations), informing the general public of rule changes and new punishments, highlighting outstanding performances and doling out necessary reprimands for actions unbecoming of the football Sunday standards set forth by Thomas Paine, General George S. Patton (U.S. Army-Ret.) and Tom Buhle.

Week 6 Recap and Photos

Despite an otherwise fun day of football on Week 6, the photo to your left is symbolic of the Giants and Skins losses (in the Giants case at the hands of lesser foes). Needless to say 40s at Four was a raging sucess.

Bill Swerski Superfan Award Winner - Neil

In his first full football Sunday appearance of the season, Neil brought a high octane energizing performance to the mix as he helped cheer his Kansas City Chiefs on to memorable victory over the dreaded Washington Redskins. He stood strong as the only Chiefs fan in a room full of hostile (and witless) Skins fans. Keep up the good work.

Jennie Finch Award Winner - Despite seeing some new faces, we are afraid to call this another push. Hey, despite some potentially dangerous cases on the Supreme Court's upcoming docket, the high court has not extended Title IX legislation to Football Sunday Awards and for that we continue to thank Jackie Childs for his pro bono efforts on our behalf. Though we would like to note that Diane came directly from the Opera. It would have been tougher had she worn her Packers jersey to the opera and then came directly over. But it's all good.

Following the Skins loss, Bucktown made a drunken promise to Joe and Dustin that he would shave his face for the first time since his senior photos. More on this to follow.

Though it may seem that these people just watched Schindler's List and not football, these faces are actually the result of having watched the bleak Giants' performance.
