The Football Sunday Frugal Gourmet asks.....

What culinary treats will you be providing for the MEATheads of Football Sunday???
As you probably already know, watching hours of football and consuming considerable volumes of malt and hops often leads one to build up quite an appetite. This is why we are very excited about this new and important section of this Football Sunday Blog. In this weekly section, we can share recipes, provide reviews of food from previous Sundays (and even make suggestions such as Buck should have added more Frank's Red Hot), give previews of food that you will be bringing (to avoid having 3 people show up with fish nachos), and ideally use this as a message board for such favorite food topics as wings, why the hell there is no BW3 in DC, who makes the best marinade, and why pizza around here sucks.
What food will you be providing this week?

Buffalo Chicken Dip
Ingredients:
2 boneless/skinless chicken breasts
1 (12 oz) bottle Franks Red Hot Sauce (or Texas Pete)
1 cup celery (chopped), plus some sticks to serve along side dip
2 packages of cream cheese (softened at room temperature)
1-1.5 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
2 cupes shredded cheddar cheese
Boil chicken in water until completely cooked (about 15 mins)
Drain and finely shred chicken.
In a skillet, combine the chicken, celery and hot sauce. Mix well and simmer on low heat until chicken is red. (give it a good 10 minutes)
With mixer combine cream cheese and ranch/blue cheese dressing. Once mixed add the chicken mixature and mix well.
Spread the dip in a 9x13 baking dish. Top with cheddar cheese (you can also mix some of it into the dip before transferring it to the baking dish)
Bake at 350 until cheese is melted - about 30-40 minutes.
(you can mix the dip before you serve it)
Serve with tortilla chips and celery sticks.
Enjoy!
