This blog is intended to enhance the Ware Street football Sunday by promoting discussion, assigning tasks (e.g., the bringing of food and libations), informing the general public of rule changes and new punishments, highlighting outstanding performances and doling out necessary reprimands for actions unbecoming of the football Sunday standards set forth by Thomas Paine, General George S. Patton (U.S. Army-Ret.) and Tom Buhle.

The Jennie Finch Award

As (somewhat) Equal Opportunity providers, we would like to kickoff a new award to each week recognize a female member of Football Sundays for a strong performance. While the 2004 season saw some good outings from a few females, we would like to welcome all female guests to step it up a notch. Each week the winner of the Jennie Finch Award will display an excellent proficiency in players, defenses, and strategies, provide meaningful insight into such things as Vick's ability to adapt to the West Coast offense, and show their spirit and hard-coreness by sporting jerseys, carefully selected vintage outfits, or other relevant costumes. The winners every week will be listed on a posterboard in our sports mecca.

Note:
-Coming dressed as a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader will earn you an automatic Jennie Finch Award selection for that week.
-In the interest of fairness, Jennie Finch, her relatives, employees and co-workers are excluded from winning this award, regardless of their performance on a Sunday.

I think this Award is a classic example of male chauvinism. You claim that this is about sports knowledge and opinion, but give extra points for looking hot (ie dressing like a cowboy cheerleader). For these allegations, that I have just made, I commend you two.

I would like to submit a request that a picture of the weekly winner be posted along with the names (especially in the case of a Cowgirl appearance).

Dustin - Can you please look into making these events availabe via webcast?
