This blog is intended to enhance the Ware Street football Sunday by promoting discussion, assigning tasks (e.g., the bringing of food and libations), informing the general public of rule changes and new punishments, highlighting outstanding performances and doling out necessary reprimands for actions unbecoming of the football Sunday standards set forth by Thomas Paine, General George S. Patton (U.S. Army-Ret.) and Tom Buhle.

Week 2 Recap and Photos (including MNF)

Bill Swertzke Superfan Award Co-Winners:

Nato and Crazy Joe - both responsible for nearly single-handedly driving up the intensity on both Sunday and Monday. Three words - Shotguns, Funnels, 40's. Keys to success in this league.

Jennie Finch Award Winner: Push - better luck next week girls

Other Notable Happenings:

Dustin became the first person this season to commit 3 penalty box offenses on one single Sunday, and thus was required to wear the jersey of the dreaded and hated Michael Irvin. In doing so Dustin disgraced his family, his community and his country. Shame on you Dustin.

Giants went to 2-0 with another great offensive performance on Monday night. Skins came out of nowhere to beat the Cowboys on the other Monday night game.

Heller earned his first Get Out of Penalty Box Free card by finding a valuable piece of jewelry in the street. In unrelated news, Ryan Allen did not spend the night on my couch.

Dustin's sisters did not show up despite Dustin's promises and as a result Danny was sent to the cold showers early.

Buck courted a girl for the duration of the MNF games.
