Recap and Photos of a Glorious Week 1

Week 1 Bill Swerzki Superfan Award Winner: Nato

-Rallied from rough night at JMU to a great opening weekend performance
-Got warmed up by shotgunning beers
-Displayed a great attitude and good insight into games
-Great use of talking heads
-Zero Penalty Box offenses
-Didn't go to Skins game b/c he knew where the super fans were

Honorable Mention: Dustin Gordon (aside from the chunk of time spent macking chick in other room), The Woj (Good Old-School Woj Sport Watching Performance)

Week 1 Jennie Finch Award Winner: Sarah Smith

-Great football sunday outfit including headgear
-Came early to make Buffalo Chicken Wing dip, onion dip, and wraps for everyone, which happened to be very delicious
-Displayed great intensity while supporting team
-Started and lead the "Rick Fromberg Scratching his Balls Drinking Game" which is bound to become a staple at Football Sundays


First Penalty Box Infraction of the Year: Chris Jackson - "Did you know that Christian Okoye was a native American" and then insisting on it after everyone boo-ed him.

First Get Out of Penalty Box Free Card Recipient: Chris's buddy Josh - "The Mets appearance in the 2000 World Series was a testament to the leadership and management of Bobby Valentine" - we couldn't agree more Josh, job well done!!!

I must disagree with the Swerzki award. Such a lofty honor is being bestowed, with all due respect, on a man that brought pastry and croissant to Football Sunday.

Pastry and croissant.

I guess if we're watching NFL Europe on Sunday in Paris, pastry and croissant might be the snack of choice. Then we could bash America and surrender to the Rhein Fire too.

I'm reaching out across party lines and speaking up for the little guy. Your Finch award winner should have been your Swerzki award winner, too. With honorable mention to JDavey, whose unfortunate passing out certainly did damage to his hopes for higher office. Don't be bitter because he got to spend some QT with Sarah, Stickle, jealousy will get you nowhere.
