This blog is intended to enhance the Ware Street football Sunday by promoting discussion, assigning tasks (e.g., the bringing of food and libations), informing the general public of rule changes and new punishments, highlighting outstanding performances and doling out necessary reprimands for actions unbecoming of the football Sunday standards set forth by Thomas Paine, General George S. Patton (U.S. Army-Ret.) and Tom Buhle.

Week 4 Recap and Photos

A very solid showing by everyone on a Sunday that saw a Giants victory, a Seahawks collapse that led to an unlikely Redskins victory, the great Mike Piazza's last game in a Mets uniform (below), the Red Sox make the playoffs, and Joe take on the ambitious task of making 8 pounds of Salmon Dip (yes, Salmon Dip) in the shape of a fish with eyes and then proceeding to eat about 6 pounds of it himself.

(Thank you Mike for 8 great seasons of excellence, dedication, and amazing ball.
Roger Clemens should die of gonerhea and rot in hell.)

Bill Swerski Superfan Award Winner: Scharpf

-Long overdue for a founding member of Football Sunday.

-Took it upon himself to pick up the slack and purchased and brought the ingredients for the official drink of Football Sunday, Irish Car Bombs. Said Car Bombs were a driving factor in the success of Week 4. Bravo Scharpf.

-Helped the Giants to win by filling in for the absence of a valuable fan.

Jennie Finch Award Winner: Push, however we are extremely pleased with the female performances as of late and simply were not able to pick out just one examplary female.
Though this does not include Sarah Smith who is now on double secret probation for leading a tutorial with the rest of the female guests on making armpit farting sounds (below). Needless to say we do not condone such behavior and any further offenses will be subject to severe penalties.

Notable Penalties:
- Pete Stickle and S. Smith for an unexecused late return from Deliverance-country.

Notable Happenings:

-While at the bar before the Rolling Stones Concert on Monday Dustin shared with us that the best concert he had ever seen was MC Hammer/Vanilla Ice/En Vogue/Boys 2 Men. Fortunately for Dustin I had left my Smith & Wesson at home.
