This blog is intended to enhance the Ware Street football Sunday by promoting discussion, assigning tasks (e.g., the bringing of food and libations), informing the general public of rule changes and new punishments, highlighting outstanding performances and doling out necessary reprimands for actions unbecoming of the football Sunday standards set forth by Thomas Paine, General George S. Patton (U.S. Army-Ret.) and Tom Buhle.

Week 8 Recap and Photos

G-MEN:36
FORESKINS: ZERO
A special Halloween rendition of Football Sunday proved to be truly a nightmare for Skins fans. Playing in honor of the memory of owner Wellington Mara, the Giants wipped the field with the helpless Redskins in one of the most lopsided beatings since Dustin spilled paint in the garage in the 9th grade. Almost more importantly, the most anticipated game of the year to date featured a matchup of the fun-loving and intelligent Giants fans against the scrappy and ragtag hooligan Skins Fans. As expected the Giants fan soundly out performed the Skins fans who sat in silence...and shame.

No comment necessary.

-Giants great Tiki Barber had a career high 206 rushing yards and later gave the gameball to the Mara family.
-Skins rusher Clinton Portis had 9 yards and later shared an eightball with teammate Sean Taylor and former mayor Marion Barry.

Bucktown set a career high with 13 choco-tacos in one sitting.

This group of Skins fans haven't seen a shutout this severe since Dustin and Buck's trip to Ocean City in 2004.

At halftime, Dustin convened an emergency meeting of the minds to figure out a way to drive up the intensity and get the Skins back in it. While the jury is still out on what actually transpired in these closed quarters, scholars believe that it is quite possible that they may have watched a tivo-ed episode of the WB's Smallville.....and thats all.

Bill Swertzke Superfan and Jennie Finch Award Winners - Giants Fans

Faced with the prospect of being outnumbered but never of course outclassed, the Big Blue faithful stepped up to the plate and took over Ware St. sending the defeated Skins fans running for the hills.
