This blog is intended to enhance the Ware Street football Sunday by promoting discussion, assigning tasks (e.g., the bringing of food and libations), informing the general public of rule changes and new punishments, highlighting outstanding performances and doling out necessary reprimands for actions unbecoming of the football Sunday standards set forth by Thomas Paine, General George S. Patton (U.S. Army-Ret.) and Tom Buhle.

Week 5 Recap and Photos

Wow, what a weekend.

Saturday
Steve Lawson earned his first ever Get-Out-of-Penalty Box free card when he showed up on Saturday afternoon with two Santini's Pizzas and a case of Lite Beer (note: this is one more case than D. Gordon has purchased all season)

This Saturday was not a good day for Satan, George Steinbrenner, Bin-Laden, Steve Loonan and all other evil-do-ers as the Mets proceeded to the next round and the Yankees were eliminated. The next day however the baseball season was cancelled.

Buck also earned his first Get-Out-of-Penalty-Box Free Card when he upheld the integrity of the box by serving a sentence given to Dustin who had selfishly refused to go to the box because he was "too lazy". Great job Buck.

Sunday

G-MEN - 19
FORESKINS - 3

Thats all I have to say about that.

Everyone found themselves extremely disappointed and extremely hungry when Bucktown was a no-show on Sunday. This Sunday has been the well-advertised date that Buck was going to make his famous Reuben sandwiches. As a result no-one made other food arrangements and mass-hunger and severe drunkiness resulted.

When asked about the hunger of everyone at Football Sunday, Nicole Anderson stated: "Let them eat cake"

Bill Schwertzke Superfan Award: Push. Great performances all around, keep up the good work. Honorable Mention: Hank (for participating in activities that D. Gordon has not done thus far this season)

Jennie Finch Award Winner: Dustin's Sister Kristen
Everybody in attendance on this Football Sunday got lucky when Kristen made a suprise appearance taking center stage and stealing the show.

Boner Stabone/Dustin M. Gordon Award Winner: Dustin Gordon

While attempting to provide Nato with an ice-cold malty beverage, Dustin flung a 12 ounce can over his back at point blank range which unfortunately crashed into a wall full of framed SI covers which he had not taken into account. A professionally framed SI cover commemorating Syracuse's National Hoops Championship fell victim to Dustin's dumbness.
