This blog is intended to enhance the Ware Street football Sunday by promoting discussion, assigning tasks (e.g., the bringing of food and libations), informing the general public of rule changes and new punishments, highlighting outstanding performances and doling out necessary reprimands for actions unbecoming of the football Sunday standards set forth by Thomas Paine, General George S. Patton (U.S. Army-Ret.) and Tom Buhle.

Week 4 Recap and Photos

Bill Schwertzke Superfan Award Winner: Nato
Nato stepped up on a Sunday when everyone else seemed to be sleepwalking, highlighted by the first ever funneling of a beer with several packages of NERDS in it.

Jennie Finch Award Winner: Kira Colvin
Kira showed up with 7-layer dip and loads of intensity. An awkward moment ensued when Dip-Connoisseur Dustin Gordon attempted to solicite relations with Ms. Colvin claiming he was "rewarding her for the dip."

Boner Stabone Award Winner: Dustin Gordon
Week 4 saw a tremendous lack of leadership by Dustin as he displayed no motivation and failed to organize Redskin Nation on a much needed Beer Run. As a result, Football Sunday ran out of beer for the first time in history. Fortunately, police in riot gear were able to put down a potential riot with tear gas, while D-go hid out in his room.

The Washington Redskins stunned the world when they upset the heavily favored Jacksonville Jaguars. Following the game, foolish Skins fans made travel arrangements for the Super Bowl in February.

Georgia Tech's Heisman Candidate Calvin Johnson came to Blacksburg with a can of whoop ass and a performance that will haunt VT fans for years to come. Mel Kiper Jr. reports that Johnson should be among the first 3 picks in this summer's NFL Draft, which should put the Skins right in line to swoop up the extremely talented wideout. Oh wait, the Skins traded this pick to Denver. Good work Mr. Snyder.
