This blog is intended to enhance the Ware Street football Sunday by promoting discussion, assigning tasks (e.g., the bringing of food and libations), informing the general public of rule changes and new punishments, highlighting outstanding performances and doling out necessary reprimands for actions unbecoming of the football Sunday standards set forth by Thomas Paine, General George S. Patton (U.S. Army-Ret.) and Tom Buhle.

DARK HELMET: THE SOFTBALL TEAM

The staff of Football Sunday and their groupies would like to give a shout out to the members of Dark Helmet for a well fought season. Dark Helmet bounced back from a 3 and 17 record in 2005 to post a (tied for) third place finish and a 8 and 12 record in one of the most challenging divisions in the history of Northern Va. Softball. In doing so they overcame injuries, dissension, threats from local gangs, hangovers, Josh Coder's demanding beach schedule, and boycotts from their fans.

The staff of Football Sunday would like to open up this to venue for nominations and discussion for team awards and categories for said awards.

Thank you.
